Use a Self-Signed SSL Certificate for Nginx Server

sudo openssl req -x509 -nodes -days 365 -newkey rsa:2048 -keyout /etc/ssl/private/nginx-selfsigned.key -out /etc/ssl/certs/nginx-selfsigned.crt

Modify Your Nginx Server Block:

    listen 443 ssl;
    server_name your_domain.com;

    ssl_certificate /etc/ssl/certs/nginx-selfsigned.crt;
    ssl_certificate_key /etc/ssl/private/nginx-selfsigned.key;

    location / {

Configure Nginx for WordPress on Ubuntu

sudo mkdir -p /var/www/html/wordpress

Navigate to /etc/nginx/sites-available. There, create a file with the name example.com. The name should be the same as your domain.
